Many of our chickens drowned. I had a cute hen as a pet that we had found while hunting down some of the many rattlesnakes there were around. Because she had a misshapen wishbone, she left a trail similar to that of a snake. I had became very fond of that cute little hen, and when I found her body, I cried. My dad was hired with his team of horses to help repair the break. I remember sitting there and watching as about eight teams were used in rotation doing what a bulldozer would do nowadays.
